Firstly I would like to say that my experience with Magellan Vacations was absolutely fantastic. I have used Tablet Hotels and Expedia in the past, however I plan to use Magellan for all my USA travel from here on in. The service you offer is outstanding and cannot be faulted. I booked my LA hotel with you, however I did end up booking my accommodation in NYC directly with the Standard Hotel - I work for Apple and they offer Apple a preferred corporate rate. If however this was not the case, I would have booked a hotel through you.
The London in LA is probably one of the best hotel experiences I have had. The room itself was enormous, very modern, clean, comfortable with a great balcony and view. The bathroom was gorgeous and had a very large bath which I made use of every night.
The staff and service could not be faulted, in particular the Concierge, Jessica. The hotel even had a Town Car. The hotel is superbly located, with great shopping on Sunset Bvd, Robertson Ave and Melrose Ave, all of which were within walking distance.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again and as indicated above I plan to book all future travel with Magellan -I just wish you were also available in Europe.

"Hello Mika,
The whole trip was fantastic. We loved the Sunset Marquis and will most likely stay there for all our trips to L.A. from now on. We got an early check in and an upgrade of our room. The staff were amazing and surprisingly due to school holidays there were quite a few people with children staying there so our daughter made a few friends. We loved how low key and relaxed it was. Infact we loved it so much we canceled our stay on our return to L.A. from NY at the Shangri La and stayed at the Sunset Marquis again. We had a look at the Shangri La, the open balconies freaked me out but the rooms were lovely. There was a Playboy function around the pool so there were bunnies everywhere, it was very party and very full on. The hotel probably is not our scene.
The Gramercy Park was an amazing hotel and very special in decor but once again probably not for us. The staff were not very personable and I would not say unfriendly, but then I would not say friendly either. We asked to be moved to a room closer to the ground floor and actually ended up with room with a much much bigger bathroom, it was the same size room, same price just bigger bathroom, you would think with the amount we were paying that they would have seen there were the three of us and allocated a room with a bigger bathroom. After all we were there for a while and the hotel was nowhere near full. Next time we will probably stay at the Thompson or the Soho Grand. One thing I realized is that, seeing you walk everywhere in NY, it is better to be closer to the action. The Gramercy Park was in a absolutely beautiful spot and great for our first stay as a family in NY but now that I know the -lay of the land- we will stay somewhere closer to Nolita next time. The great thing with the Thompson is it had an outside pool! a rare thing in NY I believe. We did check out a brand new hotel called the Cooper Square Hotel as well, it is very much our style decor wise but the staff were awful. So we will be giving that one a miss.
Anyway we looked at lots of hotels while we were in NY and I have a better idea of the area where I want to stay next time. And I will definitely consult Magellan Vacations on our next trip. You have rates and access to rooms that are often not available on sites like Expedia. And a message to Ashleigh - Your suggestions, recommendations and advice on where to stay and what to expect were spot on. I probably would not have been the excellent holiday it was without your help.

We never made it to Mels - the restaurant in the hotel was too nice to pass up! Fyi, this task is on my post get-away to-do list anyhow. In a word, our impression of the Andaz was outstanding. The property, the appointments, the staff and the service were only outshone by the tremendous views. Who would have thought that an unseasonable 108 degree vacation could be so fabulous! Obviously the pool was a big plus. Another enjoyable feature was the restaurant and bar - very well done. The West Hollywood location was great, we could walk to some things, easy to drive to others, but never felt overrun by -tourists- My husband and I have long been devotees of the Mercer in NYC and W Hotels across the country - no longer. We will now look to see if the city we visit has an Andaz property. We were made to feel as though being a guest there was important, a rare occurrence for a first time visitor at a hotel. My staff was as impressed as we were - Andaz made the celebration of our corporate 20th anniversary extra special.
I would glowingly recommend your referral service as well as the hotel to anyone and everyone. Thank you for your help and look for us again."
